Simply fill them from the bottom with a trickle of water, flip, and insert into the soil. As the soil dries out, it sends up air bubbles which releases more water as the plant needs. No overwatering or underwatering happening here! Depending on the size of the planter and the water needs of your plant, they will last 1-2 weeks!
